Dermal Fillers are a non-surgical treatment that involves injecting a solution under the skin with a fine needle to enhance facial features. Administered correctly by a medical professional, they can subtly smooth, soften, contour and tone the skin; restore youthful plumpness, enhance and define your features. What happens when you have Dermal Filler treatment? Prior to your dermal filler treatment, a mild anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for your comfort. Some of our fillers contain Lidocaine and do not require an additional anaesthetic prior to treatment, however if you still want some anaesthetic cream do let us know. The dermal filler is then injected into the skin beneath the wrinkle with a very fine needle. Following a Dermal Filler treatment A dermal fillers treatment can be very quick and effective and have a minimal impact on your time. It takes 20-40 minutes depending on the number of lines and wrinkles treated. Make-up can be applied immediately after a dermal filler treatment and you can go straight back to your daily routine. It is common to have some redness and swelling following the treatment, although this usually resolves after a few hours and the results can be seen instantly. After the treatment: Some mild bruising and redness may occur. This may take a few days to vanish. Arnica cream and tablets together with cold compression are effective in aiding a speedy recovery. These symptoms are minor however and will not affect your returning to normal daily life. To maintain the desired effect most clients require two treatments a year. How long will the Dermal Filler last? The treatment should last 6-12 months based on your metabolism and the areas targeted. Can you use Anti-wrinkle injections with Dermal Filler? Yes.
