Aqualyx® is an injection that works by breaking down fat cells, destroying them permanently. The broken-down cells are then eliminated naturally through the lymphatic system.

It is commonly used to treat small pockets of fat under the chin (double chin) and can also be injected to remove arm fat (bingo wings), bra back fat, stomach fat and love handle.

WHAT DOES HAVING AQUALYX® BODY FAT DISSOLVING INJECTIONS INVOLVE?

You will have a consultation with one of our Aqualyx® experts, if you are deemed suitable for treatment and wish to go ahead then treatment can be performed on the same day as consultation or you can book a future appointment for treatment.
On the day of treatment, the area to be treated is marked out. The Aqualyx® solution is mixed with lidocaine (an anaesthetic) before injection for your comfort.
A number of injections are administered to ensure the area of fat under the chin to be removed is fully covered.
After treatment, the doctor will manipulate/massage the areas and you will have to continue this massage at home for several days after your treatment
You will experience swelling /discolouration of the skin and tenderness, on some occasions you can have some bruising. The area under the chin will feel tender for 7- 10 days and appear swollen for this time- wearing a scarf or high neck top is advisable to disguise the swelling.
You will require 2 or 3 treatments, with improvement normally becoming visible after the second treatment.
