Simply Skin Clinic Help Center

Who will perform my treatment?

All treatments will be performed either by Dr Emma Higgin or Nurse Ruth Riddle. For injectable treatments, the clinician who assessed you at your initial consultation will also perform the procedure.

Which payment methods does Simply Skin Clinic accept?

We accept card payment, which accepts all major credit cards, as well cash and bank transfer options. Whatever is easiest for you.

What happens if I change my mind about proceeding with the treatment on the day of the appointment?

We will never encourage you to proceed with your treatment unless you are 100% sure of your decision.

What if I need advice out of hours?

Following your treatment you will be given a 24 hour emergency contact number.

Which dermal fillers do you use?

At Simply Skin Clinic we use Teoxane® dermal fillers. The technology used in these products allow for natural results and have a greater longevity when compared with other dermal fillers on the market.

How many syringes of dermal filler can I have in one session?

We feel that the best results are achieved through gradual filler treatment over a period of time. How much dermal filler is required is highly patient dependant.

Do these treatments hurt?

As with any injection, there is a risk of pain. To help reduce any pain we offer topical numbing cream. Many of our clients opt for this, especially with dermal filler treatments.

What is the difference between Botox® and Dermal Fillers?

Botox® relaxes the treated muscles and in turn can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers are used to enhance an area by injecting a gel-like substance containing Hyaluronic acid. Fillers can be used to define, hydrate or add volume to an specific area.

Do I need a consultation, even if I have had treatment before elsewhere?

Yes, for our injectable treatments you will need to have an initial consultation at least 2 weeks prior to receiving your treatment. This is for us to fully assess your medical history and provide you with a full facial assessment and personalised treatment plan. For repeat treatments, this consultation can be combined with your appointment for your treatment. We offer a free initial consultation.

Can I have injectable treatments when pregnant?

No. There has been no valid research into whether injectable treatments are safe during pregnancy therefore we will not administer injectable treatments during pregnancy or breast feeding.

Do I have to wait in between getting injectable treatments?

This is dependent on which areas you are having treated. If the products do not interfere with each other, you can have them together. For example, many patients have both lip augmentation and Botox® during the same session.
